Jetpack 6.3.2 is available to download. The new update has been introduced after encountering a fatal bug affecting sites using PHP version 5.3 or below.
The new version, Jetpack 6.3.2 was released on July 4, 2018. The previous version of Jetpack, version 6.3 was released only a day before 6.3.2 was released. And the 6.3 version introduced the Simple Payment Widget that would help users to receive payments from anywhere on your website. The widget focused towards adding a quick payment option to any widgetized area on your website, be it a sidebar, header or footer.
The widget was to ease the work for Jetpack users, however, a fatal bug was found in the payment widget. Therefore, in Jetpack 6.3.2, the Jetpack team has fixed a compatibility issue with the Simple Payment Widget with PHP versions 5.3 and below. The widget was initially causing fatal errors upon activation.
Those who’re curious about the Jetpack 6.3.1 update, it technically exists but was not officially released by the team.
