The WordPress community of Bhaktapur is organizing a hackathon, ‘Hackathon #1’ on Saturday, 4th March at FnClick, Bhaktapur.
A “hackathon” is a portmanteau of the words “hack” and “marathon”, where “hack” is used in the sense of exploratory programming, not its alternate meaning as a reference to computer crime.
In this occasion of the hackathon, individuals will work to create a WordPress plugin based on Google Map. This event is open to all. Interested individuals must bring their own laptop, charger or any other required tools. The internet connection and workspace will be provided by the team of WordPress Bhaktapur.
If the plugin is submitted to the WordPress plugin directory, your name will be enlisted with the other contributors which is a great way to contribute to WordPress. Also, this is an excellent chance to sharpen your WordPress skills as you get to work with a team of experienced WordPress developers.
