Do you have a video channel on YouTube? Are you looking for ways to get more subscribers on your YouTube channel? One of the most effective and quick ways to gain more subscribers is to add a YouTube Subscribe button on your website. It is considered as a quick method because adding a “Subscribe” button on your website will make it easier for your visitors to subscribe to your YouTube channel with a click without having to leave your website. Today, we will be learning how easily you can add a YouTube subscribe button in WordPress.

Add a YouTube Subscribe Button in WordPress Manually

First, we’re going to learn how you can add a YouTube Subscribe button to your website manually. For that, you need to visit the YouTube subscribe button page on the Google Developer’s website.

On this page, you will have to enter the Channel Name or ID to get the code to display the Subscribe button of your YouTube channel. As this is the configuration page, you can also change the layout, theme and choose whether or not to display the subscribers.

After you’re done configuring, you can copy the code given to you just below the preview option.

Copy the code given to you

Now, head over to your WordPress dashboard and visit the widgets page, Appearance > Widgets. Next, drag and drop the text widget to your widget area. Then, paste the code you copied earlier. (Make sure you paste the code into the Text editor.) For this tutorial, I’ve pasted the code before the ‘Footer 1’ area.

Paste the code

Hit the Save button and visit your website to see your Subscribe button in action. Wasn’t that easy?

Now, let’s move on to the second method, which is also easier as we will be using a WordPress plugin.

Add a YouTube Subscribe Button Using a WordPress Plugin

First thing you need to do is install and activate the YouTube Subscribe plugin from the WordPress Plugin Directory. The plugin is very simple, clean and extremely easy to use.

After activating the plugin, head over to Appearance > Widgets and enable the YouTube Subscribe widget. I have added the YouTube Subscribe widget on the ‘After Content’ section.

Here, you’ll have to enter the Title of your widget and YouTube Channel ID. You’ll also be given the freedom to show full layout, show dark theme and hide the subscriber count.

I do not even have an “appearance” tab. I got through the part about getting the youtube code, but after that, nothing on my website says appearance … so now I’m stuck.

You will need admin access on your site. If you are admin and are not seeing the Appearance Tab, then you have plugin/theme conflict. Make sure you have admin access of the site you want to edit.
