One of the biggest WordPress conferences in the world, WordCamp Europe 2020 is nearing and you have only a day left until the Call for Volunteers closes. The Call for Volunteers is still open. However, the deadline is approaching; the last date to apply is February 28.
WordCamp Europe 2020 is taking place on 4-6 June 2020 at Super Block Arena in Porto, Portugal. The event is probably one of the biggest WordPress conferences around the globe. WCEU2020 is happening for three days, one being the contributor day and the other two being official conference days.
With just about 3 months to go until the conference, registrations are 12% above last year. The past 8 years have seen an increasing number of attendees each year, with over 3000 ‘WordPress-ers’ participating in Berlin last year, the largest gathering since the conference began in 2013. “We’re on track to have the best year yet,” said Tess Coughlan-Allen, one of the global leads of this year’s conference. “People are really excited about this year’s conference, and our registration is at an all-time high.”
Similar to last year, the team has been very active in terms of providing the best for everyone at the event. So, in order to serve a lifetime experience for all attendees, the WCEU team is looking for volunteers with a passion to help the event nurture and give back to the community.
Volunteers are undoubtedly one of the vital parts of a successful WordCamp. They not only help make the event smooth but also take care of all the attendees making sure they are enjoying their time. Every year, over 100 volunteers donate their time to help make the largest WordPress gathering – WordCamp Europe, a success. Volunteers assist on-site in a number of areas depending on their interests, including the registration, speakers’ lounge, media rooms, sponsor’s booth, and even the after-party.
