WCKTM2019: Contributor Day Team Leads Finalized

The WordCamp Kathmandu 2019 team has finalized the Contributor Day Team Leads.

WordCamp Kathmandu 2019 will be held on the 16th and 17th of March at BougainVilla Events, in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu. Similar to the last year’s WordCamp, WordCamp Kathmandu 2019 will also be a two-day event this time –16th being the official WordCamp day, and 17th being the Contributor Day.

For those who are not familiar with Contributor Day, it is a day dedicated to various sections of WordPress giving back to the community. Those who want to make their first foray into getting involved with WordPress (regardless of your experience level) and its team can attend the Contributor day. Even someone who knows very little about WordPress can contribute by answering support questions.

Similar to the previous WordCamp, WCKTM2019 will also feature various teams and attendees can be a part of any team they want – Support, Theme Review, or Polyglots.

Each of the teams will have team leads to guide the interested attendees. Here is the list of WCKTM2019 Contributor Day team leads with their respective teams.


Contributor Day Team Leads


SUPPORT TEAM

The Support team leads will be demonstrating how one can provide support on the .org platform. They’ll also be solving as many issues as possible in the easiest way. So, if you want to work on Support or just curious about how exactly the support on .org works, feel free to join the Support team.

Abhishek Rijal

Abhishek RijalAbhishek Rijal is a Senior WordPress developer. He is currently working as a Team Lead at Nirmal Web Studio. His expertise and experience include WordPress themes and plugin development along with Web applications development in PHP and Laravel framework. He is also an instructor for WordPress development at Halftone Designs. He believes in giving back to the community and therefore, has been an active member of the community here in Nepal.

Regan Khadgi

Regan KhadgiRegan Khadgi is a Senior Lead WordPress Plugin Developer at AccessPress Themes. With almost a decade of experience working with WordPress, he has developed more than 20 plugins. He also leads, manages, and guides a team of 6 programmers. Regan has been committed to giving back to the community too. He’s been a part of every WordCamps that happened in Nepal since 2015.  For someone who has worked so long in the field, Regan still goes to work with the same energy he had 8 years ago, quite cool, isn’t it?


THEME REVIEW TEAM

The Theme Review team will focus on reviewing the themes and approving them on the .org platform. The team leads will guide you on how one can check if the theme author has followed the WordPress standard codes and approve the theme accordingly.

Biplav Subedi

Biplav SubediBiplav Subedi is the founder of WP Drizzle. He is also a Theme Moderator on WP Theme Review team and loves to review themes as it was his first step to getting involved in the community. Now, Biplav looks forward to growing on Gutenberg and React and start developing future-proof products. He’s been an active member of WordPress Nepal since he became one.

Sandilya Kafle

Sandilya KafleSandilya Kafle is the Co-Founder and theme review team lead at one of the fast growing WordPress themes marketplace – Template Sell. Also, he works for WPEntire and leads the theme review team. Besides this, he volunteers as a team lead in the WordPress Theme Review team. He has contributed to the WordPress community as a WordCamp speaker, organizer, volunteer, documentation, core contributor, translator, and theme/plugins developer.


POLYGLOTS TEAM

WordPress translation is one of the important parts of WordPress. The Polyglots team will be guiding on translating WordPress into various languages and how you can give back to the community by being a part of the polyglots team.

Sudeep Balchhaudi

Sudeep BalchhaudiSudeep Balchhaudi is a WordPress developer. He’s been using and building WordPress products such as Themes and Plugins since past 5 years. He has been contributing to WordPress as a Translation Editor on Plygots Team, Theme Reviewer in the Theme Review Team on the .org platform.

Yoav Farhi

Yoav FarhiYoav Farhi is someone who looks forward to making the web a better place for everyone. He is from the Automattic team and works on everything related to i18n (internationalization) and l10n (localization) and translation. He’s been a WordPress core contributor since 10 years now.
