An Exclusive Interview with Asmita Subedi – WCKTM2019 Speakers

Asmita Subedi Interview

Asmita Subedi is a plugin developer and a support engineer at WP Travel Engine. She enjoys solving problems and loves learning about WordPress Plugins. Asmita also enjoys reading books or traveling with her friends and family.

She was one of the amazing speakers at WordCamp Kathmandu 2019. Since she is a support engineer herself, her talk was related to her work. Asmita spoke on the Smart Support Practices. She highlighted how one could provide better customer support in WordPress and how it would be beneficial for the company. She further gave us a few tricks to reduce support tickets and handle refund tickets.

During this interview, we got to know her WP journey, her views, and opinions regarding different aspects of WordPress.

Asmita says, “Support, when not managed can be really frustrating. It takes a lot of time. I, personally, face these issues as well despite being a team lead and a lead developer. We try to find ways to reduce the tickets and respond as quickly as possible, handle refund tickets efficiently, all of these while focusing on how we can get good reviews. Providing support can be challenging when it comes to getting good reviews. And that’s why I am providing some practices you can follow to get good reviews and provide better customer support.”

WordCamp Kathmandu 2019 was her first-ever WordCamp and speaking at an event where you’ve never been before is such a brave move to make. We’re really inspired by Asmita and her talk regarding customer support practices.
