An Exclusive Interview with Qurina Shrestha – WCKTM2019 Speakers

Qurina Shrestha is a senior WordPress plugin developer at AccessPress Themes and she is amazing at what she does. She has more than four years of experience in this sector. Her expertise and experience spread throughout WordPress themes and plugin development, CI, PHP and Bonfire (HMVC PHP Framework).
She proudly calls coding her first love and is always excitedly learning about new technologies and programming frameworks.

She was one of the speakers at WordCamp Kathmandu 2019. Her speech was focused on plugin development targeting the beginners. This inspiring personality spoke on the topic, “Basic Strategies for Plugin Development” which was very beneficial for those wanting some boost to start developing plugins.

She provided some amazing strategies one could use while developing WordPress plugins. Developers involved in plugin-crafting were the ones who benefitted the most. She’s a wonderful persona and a very influential woman in the WordPress community of Nepal inspiring hundreds of girls.

In this interview, we got to know her a little bit more, her WP journey, what she thinks about certain things in WordPress, her suggestions, and more. Qurina has developed around 20 WordPress plugins including both free and premium.

When asked about her thoughts on the Gutenberg implementation, Qurina says, “With Gutenberg editor, you can add custom blocks as per your requirements on your post content. Since Gutenberg comes with flexibility and helps in enhancing your post layout as well, most bloggers and writers can benefit from it.”

Qurina gave some tips for the newbies and also talked about the future of WordPress, where she sees the platform in the coming years.
