WordCamp Kathmandu 2023 Concluded last weekend with 450+ awesome attendees. DevotePress was proud to represent WordCamp Kathmandu 2023 as the official media partner. And we, being the official media partner of WCKTM 2023, live-tweeted the major parts of the event. Likewise, the two-day conference was filled with interesting presentations, talks, workshops, and fun activities. WordCamp Kathmandu 2023 has been concluded and here we have brought you a complete overview of the event that happened on September 8th and 9th, 2023.
Everything that Happened at WordCamp Kathmandu 2022
DAY ONE: THE CONTRIBUTOR DAY
The Contributor Day was a great success with hundreds of attendees. The registration started at 9 A.M in the morning, followed by the introductory session and attendees were very positive about the Contributor day.
The opening remarks were delivered by Surendra Shrestha, Lead Organizer. He welcomed all the attendees and thanked all the sponsors, organizers, volunteers for making WordCamp Kathmandu 2023 possible. After that the event started.
There were many teams present for the Contributor day: Themes, Photos, Core, Training, Support, Polyglots, Plugins, Documentation, Patterns, and Meta. All the teams were led by specific WordPressers. All the attendees were seen very much involved in their respective teams and were contributing from their side.
DAY TWO: THE CONFERENCE DAY
The second day of WordCamp Kathmandu 2023, which is also known as the Conference day started with a huge inflow of attendees in Alice Receptions, Garidhara. Alice Receptions was the best place located in Garidhara which was easily accessible. There were three halls – Hall Action, Hall Filter, and Hall Codex all set for the biggest WordPress conference of Nepal.
The organizers and volunteers of the event were present at the venue way many hours before the attendees started to roll in. The registration desk, sponsors’ desks, swag store and happiness bar were all set outside the three halls. As per the schedule, the registration for the event started at sharp 9.00 A.M. The organizers and volunteers were very busy managing the event. The attendees flooded into the stalls to grab their swags right after the registration.
Therefore, this year there were many interesting stalls. All the attendees were having fun at these stalls collecting swags and other stuffs. Also, there was some amazing job opportunities posted on the board by different companies.

There was also a workshop that was presented by Chandra Maharzan, Sakin Shrestha, Yam B Chhetri, and Utsav Singh Rathour (Moderator). In this discussion, they explore the exciting possibilities and new directions for WordPress communities in Nepal. And, shared their ideas for growth, collaboration, and making the community even stronger.
Conclusion
All in all, WordCamp Kathmandu 2023 Concluded with a huge success. The hashtag #wcktm2023 got trending on Twitter during the two-day event. WordCamp Kathmandu 2023 gave everyone a chance to meet and network with a lot of new people, and learn a lot from talks an d discussion.
