Gutenberg 5.9, the latest version of Gutenberg editor was released on 12th June 2019 and it has introduced some major improvements to Block Grouping and also included a new type of notices called Snackbars.
The newly introduced Snackbar notice displays a brief message that is cleared out after a short delay. For a distraction-free experience, all the notices used in the editor to inform about the post saving/publishing, reusable blocks creation and updates have been updated to use this new type of notices. The notice will be displayed at the bottom of your screen.
Gutenberg 5.9 also introduced improvements to the Block grouping. It is now easy to select a number of blocks and group them inside a container block. The blocks inside a group can be moved up or down easily within the group.
Not only these, but Gutenberg 5.9 has also introduced several other bug fixes and enhancements such as Clickthrough selection, consistent colors in menus, consolidate the different dropdown menus, animation to the Snackbar, table block placeholder redesign, and more.
