One of the biggest WordPress conferences around the globe, WordCamp Europe 2024 has opened a Call for Media Partners. This year’s event is shaping up to be one of the most exciting and educational WordCamps yet and is expected to attract thousands of attendees.

The team is looking for media partners who can help them reach a wider audience and share the amazing experiences and insights that will be had at WordCamp Europe in Italy. However, in return, the team is offering a range of benefits, including VIP access to the event, exclusive interviews with speakers, exposure through their social media channels, inclusion in their promotional materials, and the opportunity to speak to attendees and share your own stories.

So, here are the benefits you will receive after you are selected as a Media Partner:

  • Up to two (2) free media passes
  • A private media area for working and conducting live interviews in the event venue during the whole conference

  • And a member of the PR team will be assigned to help you get the information you need to create PR content before, during, and after the event

Your Commitment as a Media Partner

Therefore, as a WCEU2024 Media Partner, you commit to:

  • Sharing with us your plan for how you will cover WordCamp Europe (before, during, and after) – what types of items you will publish (articles, social media posts, podcasts, etc.), how many of each you expect to publish, interviews you expect to conduct, and any other activities.
  • Publishing at least one article (or podcast) about WordCamp Europe before the event takes place.
  • Publishing other items according to your media plan throughout the event.
  • Posting one or more follow-up articles (or podcasts) after the event. These can be reviews, recaps, statements, or opinion articles describing your experience and journey at WordCamp Europe 2024, or interviews with Speakers, Organisers, Sponsors, or Volunteers.
  • Including the #WCEU and #WCEU2024 hashtags in all your publications.

Timeline

However the exact dates to be confirmed

  • 18 December 2023: Call for Media Partners opens
  • 9 February 2024: Call for Media Partners closes at 23:00 CET (Torino Time)
  • 12 Feb – 26 Feb 2024: Media Partners selection
  • 27 Feb 2024: Applicants will receive a response to their applications
  • 1 March 2024: Media Partners announced
