Alex Kirk has been active in the WordPress universe as a developer since early days and has been leading teams in the area of internationalization and matrix at Automattic for 8 years. He is the author of the Friends plugin, which allows you to participate in Social Networks with your own WordPress.

Evan Mullins

Evan Mullins

Evan Mullins (@circlecube) uses WordPress daily at the office as well as for his own projects. He is currently an Engineer at Bluehost where he builds tools and contributes back to WordPress. Evan loves the problem-solving aspect of web development and strives to make the web an all-around better place for you & your grandma.

WordPress has been a beautiful whirlwind for Joe Simpson since 2017. While on a 90-day leave of absence to recover from a heart event, he decided to truly give back, learn WordPress, and grow in areas he’s passionate about (like illustrating Wapuu). Joe didn’t see anyone onstage or organizing WordCamps that looked like him, so he presented at WordCamp Chicago while starting two Meetups, and created WordCamp Santa Clarita the first WordCamp north of Los Angeles and south of San Francisco since 2014.

Michelle Frechette is the Director of Community Engagement for StellarWP at Liquid Web. Michelle was called “The busiest woman in WordPress,” by Matt Mullenweg at WCUS 2022. In addition to her work at StellarWP, Michelle is the Podcast Barista at WPCoffeeTalk.com, cofounder of underrepresentedintech.com, creator of WPSpeakers.com, creator of wpcareerpages.com, the president of the board for BigOrangeHeart.org, Director of Community Relations and contributor at PostStatus.com, co-host of the WPMotivate podcast, co-host of the Audacity Marketing podcast, cohost of the WP Constellations podcast, author, and a frequent organizer and speaker at WordPress events. Michelle lives outside of Rochester, NY where she’s an avid nature photographer.

Conversations with the Terminal, or WP-CLI for PHP developers, is the sequel of WordPress through the Terminal talk, focusing on a set of commands and tools useful for PHP developers. This is not just a live demo of WP-CLI commands. This is zooming out and seeing WP-CLI in collaboration with other tools in the context of PHP developer needs and everyday tasks. We’ll probably release the Kraken as well.

He belong to the TeamH4C hacking team, and is researching the field of web hacking and have worked on a black box-based web vulnerability scanner as a project. Also reported a simple WordPress Plugin vulnerability.

 

SHEN YI TING

SHEN YI TING

She works at CHT Security, focusing on network security research and tool development. Additionally, she is a Google Developer Group Co-Organizer, giving talks on cybersecurity and arranging technical forums.
