Say Hello to Twenty Nineteen, The New Default Theme

WordPress 5.0, the next big release will come with a new default theme, aptly named, Twenty Nineteen.

The hot topic in WordPress 5.0 update is the new editor, Gutenberg Editor. Gutenberg provides users a freedom to customize their site’s layout and design in the way they prefer. And in order to use Gutenberg to its fullest, users will surely need flexible themes that fully support the new editor and everything Gutenberg has to offer. So, in WordPress 5.0 release, you will discover a fresh theme, Twenty Nineteen, which includes support for the new editor.

Twenty Nineteen theme will be led by Allan Cole and will be supported by Kjellr as a design coach.

The new theme is simple, clean and easy-on-the-eye. With its simplicity and sophisticated typography, the theme sure looks elegant and fresh. The theme’s aesthetic is minimal and non-prescriptive, allowing the theme to work well in a variety of applications. It sure is ideal for simple blogging websites, however, it is also suitable for static business websites. Twenty Nineteen theme comes with full Gutenberg support. The theme includes both front and back-end styles. With that, you will be able to present your website’s appearance gracefully.

The WordPress 5.0 update is slated for November 19th, 2018. Likewise, the first RC is getting ready for its release at the end of the month, October.

According to the Twenty Nineteen theme announcement post, because of time limitations, the developers may remove Twenty Nineteen from 5.0 if it is not ready in time for the big launch (5.0) this year.
