There is no specific experience level or skill set required to become a contributor. Even if you are an absolute beginner with no technical background, you can help. All you need to have is a learning attitude, and some of your time to contribute.
Contribution day is going to be held on September 4th, a day prior to the official WordCamp day. The venue for Contribution day is the same as WordCamp day, Alice Reception, Gairidhara, Kathmandu.
It is a one-day event where you contribute to WordPress, and collaborate with new and existing contributors. And also learn about all the ways to get involved in the WordPress project. Events like this take place all over the world.
There are different segments for WordPress where you can contribute. Also, there will be a team focused on each segment and you can choose which team you want to join and work with.
