WordCamp US 2023 is Announcing Speakers – Round 2. So, here is the list.
WordCamp US 2023 is taking place this year on 24-26 August 2023. The event is happening at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. And the team is really excited to welcome the second round of WordCamp US speakers. This is the second in a series of daily announcements sharing a different group of talented speakers.
The event is nearing and with that, the preparations are at their peak. There are so many things to take care of in order to deliver a grand event. Likewise, Speakers are the core part of the WordCamp. They are one of the reasons why many people enjoy attending WordCamp. The WCUS2023 team has announced the first and second round of WCUS2023 confirmed speakers, who are going to deliver ‘Development Talks’.
So, without any further ado, join us in welcoming second-round speakers at WordCamp US 2023 in Maryland.

Aurooba Ahmed
Aurooba Ahmed has over a decade of experience building bespoke WordPress projects – from small open source WordPress plugins to large custom community platforms. She’s also co-host of viewSource, a weekly WordPress development show and co-creator of the open source framework, Tangent. Hailing from Calgary, Canada, she can be found buried in a good book or hiking around the Rockies when she’s not obsessing over a piece of code at her computer.
Emily Clarke
Emily is the Associate Director of Client Delivery at 10up. She works as Project Director on the Google Site Kit WordPress plugin and on the Core WordPress Performance Team. Most recently Emily was voted in the role of Performance Team Rep for Core-Performance and is actively involved in the 6.3 and 6.4 releases as one of the Performance Leads.
Femy Praseeth
Femy Praseeth is a WordPress content writer and Block Editor End User Documentation Rep. She is also the Docs release co-lead and Noteworthy contributor for several WordPress release cycles. Previously she was a web developer building custom websites. She grew up in India and now lives in San Jose, California with her family and furbaby.
Hari Shanker
Hari is an Open Source Program Manager at Automattic, and is also a full-time WordPress Contributor. A Global Community Deputy on the WordPress Community Team, his current focus is on making the contributor experience in WordPress the best it can be. Hari is currently leading the WordPress Contributor Working Group, and is working with the same to launch a projectwide Contributor Mentorship Program for WordPress. Needless to say, WordPress is one of the biggest passions in Hari’s life, and he has been tinkering with it since 2007.
Jonathan Desrosiers
Jonathan has been using WordPress since 2007 to build sites of all sizes, from local businesses to enterprises and large universities. He has been a contributor to WordPress Core since 2013, and a WordPress Core committer since 2018. He passionately advocates for new contributors through mentorship and active leadership. Jonathan currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at Bluehost, where he is sponsored full-time to contribute to WordPress Core.
Peter Wilson
Peter Wilson is a web developer and a WordPress core committer. He is currently a Lead Engineer, Open Source Practice at 10up, a digital agency that specializes in WordPress. Peter has also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Nine, an Australian media company. He has contributed to the development of WordPress since 2015 and has been involved in several high-profile WordPress projects.
