Finally, the most-awaited, WordCamp of this year WordCamp Europe 2023 concluded successfully with 25,00 participants from 94 different countries. The event took place on 8-10 June 2023 in Athens, Greece. We, the DevotePress team are so happy to get the opportunity of being an official media supporter of this event. The three-day event was a huge success. And, finally, the event has come to an end with the promise to make WordPress an even better web management platform.
What happened at WordCamp Europe 2023?
This year’s WordCamp Europe 2023 was attended by more than 2500 people with three full days of activities all planned out to the last detail.
Day 1 – Contributor Day
The Contributor Day took place on 8th June first day of the event. There was 650+ WordPress enthusiasts came for the event. This was the day where all the people came together and collaborated. And, the contributors worked on documentation, core enhancements, marketing plans, training, and many more.
Day 2 – The Beginning of the Event
However, the second day 9th June was the first conference day of WordCamp Europe 2023 which was a quite busy day. In that day, all the WordPress enthusiasts gathered in the registration de3sk, swag stations, exhibition area, and workshops.

- 25 talks across 3 tracks
- 2,458 attendees from 94 different countries
Day 3 – The Final Day of the Event
Moreover, the final day 10th June of WordCamp Europe 2023 was filled with lots of fun activities – giveaways, games, and the photo of the participants. So, here is the summary of the last day of the event:

- 102 speakers from 29 countries
- 658 contributors across 23 teams on Contributor Day

Furthermore, the event ended with a keynote address from WordPress founder Matt Mullenweg, Josepha Haden Chomphosy, Excecutive Director of the WordPress project, and Gutenberg Product Architect, Matias Ventura.
After the keynote presentation, there was a live Q&A session with the audience.
WordCamp Europe 2024 in Italy
WordCamp Europe 2023 was a huge success. Many people contributed and participated in this event. If you were not able to participate in this year’s WordCamp, no need to worry WordCamp Europe 2024 is announced recently. The next big WordPress conference in Europe, WordCamp Europe 2024 will be held in Torino, Italy. The 12th edition of WordCamp Europe will be held on June 13-15, 2024.
And, Torino is the heart of the city which is immersed in greenery, with over 300km of tree-lined avenues and parks, leading up to the enchanting Western Alps. Also, the city is fondly known as the ‘aristocratic old lady’ and reborn into a dynamic, innovative, and modern city.
