Call for Wapuu Designs WCASIA2020

(UPDATED on October 3, 2019) Are you a creative designer or an illustrator? An amazing opportunity is here for you to unleash your creativity. WordCamp Asia 2020 has opened Call for Wapuu Designs. If you have any creative design that would fit a Wapuu representing WCASIA, then feel free to put forward your design ideas.

Wapuu was first created by Kaneuchi Kazuko as an unofficial mascot for WordPress in Japan. The first Wapuu was presented at WordCamp Fukuoka 2011. And nowadays, there are thousands of Wapuus with their own designs and motives. WordCamps all over the world are now presenting their version of Wapuu designs and we must say, all of them look quite awesome.

Since everyone is flaunting their own version of Wapuu designs, WordCamp Asia 2020 also wants to provide its own version of Wapuu that represents Asia’s first regional WordCamp. Submit your Wapuu designs today and contribute to WCASIA2020.

You don’t necessarily have to be a designer or an illustrator to submit your ideas. If you are creative and have a design in mind that would better represent WCASIA2020, feel absolutely free to submit your ideas to the team. The submission is free of charge and you can submit more than one design.

While creating your Wapuu, make sure you keep the copyright laws in mind and does not violate any trademark laws.
The winning Wapuu will be widely used everywhere (banners, swags, posters and more) for WordCamp Asia 2020.
