WordCamp Kathmandu 2017 has announced the winners of scholarships. The two types of scholarships – Need-based and Student discount tickets had been made available for WordPress enthusiasts who are not able to pay for the tickets.
Winners of Scholarships (Need Based)
The Need-based Scholarships are provided to WordPress lovers who want to be a part of WordCamp Kathmandu 2017 but are unable to do so due to financial drawbacks. Need-based scholarships are full scholarships that cover the cost of ticket for the WordCamp, i.e. NPR 2,000.

Winners of Scholarships (Student Based)
The Student-based discounts are provided to students who are interested in working with WordPress and want to make a career out of it. The student discounts, however, do not cover the full price of the ticket. The winners of scholarships will still have to pay a discounted price of NPR 750 for the tickets to WordCamp Kathmandu 2017.

WordCamp Kathmandu 2017 chose the winners based on the applicants’ responses to the questions in the form for scholarships.
