The newest version of Jetpack – Jetpack 5.7.1 is here. The new version was released on January 16, 2018, and has fixed two important issues this time.
The previous version of Jetpack, Jetpack 5.7 brought several maintenance updates, bug fixes, and improvements along with it. However, this time, the update is quite small compared to the previous ones, but it somehow is an important update with two serious bugs fixes. The developers of Jetpack has recommended updating your sites to the latest version to fix a problem in the Settings screen and to avoid potential errors when logging into a site on a multiple WordPress installation.
Below are the two bug fixes that Jetpack 5.7.1 carries:
- The Security tab of the Settings page is no longer polling for status, constantly updating the displayed information.
- Multisite WordPress installations users would now not encounter fatal errors when logging in to their sites.
These are the only changes in Jetpack 5.7.1 this time.
Igor Zinovyev, from the Jetpack team, thanked everyone who contributed to Jetpack 5.7.1.
