We are proud to announce that DevotePress will be reassuming the title of ‘Online Media Partner’ at WordCamp Kathmandu 2017.
After doing a swell job (apparently) for last year’s WordPress mega event, we’ve been asked to take on that responsibility once more. And we couldn’t be any happier. We enjoyed the entire experience through and through and we’re ecstatic to see what this year’s event is going to bring. For WordCamp Kathmandu 2017, we’re running on a stringent schedule because we are a little over 3 months away from the event. We have a lot of things to do!
WordCamps are locally-organized, annual conferences covering everything related to WordPress. It brings together WordPress community members from all over the world at a common place, providing a chance to gather in a new location to share insights and experiences, do business, make connections and talk about WordPress. They bring value to the WordPress community. They inspire and give us the ability to learn from each other. According to WordCamp Central, there were over 115 camps in 2016 alone. There is no question that WordPress is changing the lives of people globally.
If you don’t know what an online media partner does, then let us give you some pointer. That way we can even remind ourselves of the duties. So, basically, what we as an online media partner do is:
- Provide first-hand news, even before they get published on the official WordCamp Kathmandu 2017 website.
- Cover the event before, during and after, with interviews, tweets, Facebook posts, and videos.
- Promote the event and make it more awesome.
Chiefly, we’ll be on our toes to provide you with the latest developments in the process of organizing of the most happening annual WordPress event. Subscribe to DevotePress, like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter and keep yourself updated.
