This year, one of the biggest WordPress conferences in the world, WordCamp Europe 2023 is happening in Athens, Greece. The WordCamp Europe 2023 will take place on 8-10 June 2023. The first is Contributor Day and the other two days are Conference Days. As the event is getting nearer, the team has announced the fifth group of speakers.

James has taken a meandering route to get where he is today. He studied theoretical computer science as his undergraduate degree at the University of Natal, South Africa, with German and psychology as additional majors. His parents, while sceptical of this combination, had great hopes he would make my millions by providing therapy to German AIs, and thus support them in the lifestyle to which they wished to become accustomed upon retirement.

Merary Alvarado

Accessibility evangelist with 12+ years of proven experience in executing, development and leading Accessibility processes in multiple digital industries. Subject Matter Expert contributions on Accessibility by establishing guidelines, best practices, and standards related to designing and maintaining accessible websites, native applications, and data visualization. Trains clients on using accessibility monitoring software and assists in identifying strategies and solutions focused on A11y. Podcaster, Speaker, pet lover and passionate about data.

Nora Ferreiros

Nora is an UX/UI freelance designer based in Barcelona.From being part of the WordPress Community Nora learned about the ability and power technology has to change and improve things., As a designer, she works to raise awareness of the impact our work in tech has on society and the planet.

Robert Richardson

Robert Richardson founded PeakZebra in 2020 to build tools to enhance user interaction on WordPress sites. Previously he served as editorial director of TechTarget’s Security Media Group, responsible for SearchSecurity.com and Information Security Magazine. Prior to TechTarget, he was editorial director at the Black Hat security conference. He spent several years as the director of the Computer Security Institute and he’s given keynote presentations on three continents.

Thijs Buijs

Thijs runs Yellowlime, a digital agency, successfully. He’s based in Utrecht, The Netherlands. In his daily life he tries to act as sustainable as possible.
