WCUS2022 is Announcing Speakers – Round 2. So, here is the list.

This year will be the first in-person WordCamp US since 2019 and will be held at the Town and Country San Diego.  WordCamp US 2022 is gearing up to take place on 9-11 September 2022 in San Diego, California. The event is nearing and with that, the preparations are at their peak. There are so many things to take care of in order to deliver a grand event. Likewise, Speakers are the core part of the WordCamp. They are one of the reasons why many people enjoy attending WordCamp.

The WCUS2022 team had announced the first round of WCUS 2022 confirmed speakers earlier this week, who are going to deliver ‘Development Talks’.  And now, the team has published WCUS2022 Announcing Speakers Round 2 .

So, without any further ado, join us in welcoming our second-round speakers at WordCamp US 2022 in San Diego.

Alex Stine

Alex Stine

Alex Stine is a Cloud Platform Engineer at Waystar and an independent accessibility consultant. He is part of the core accessibility team, regularly contributing to WordPress accessibility, and is an organizer for WP Accessibility Day. Alex got his start in web development thanks to WordPress by starting off in tech support, moving into accessibility development, and finally managing the underlying infrastructure that WordPress self-hosted sites run on.

Amber Hinds

Amber Hinds

Amber Hinds is the CEO of Equalize Digital, Inc., a Certified B Corp specializing in WordPress accessibility, maker of the Accessibility Checker plugin, and lead organizer of the WordPress Accessibility Meetup and WP Accessibility Day conference. Through her work at Equalize Digital, Amber is striving to create a world where all people have equal access to information and tools on the internet, regardless of ability.

Ben Meredith

Ben Meredith

Ben is a developer and technical support lead focused on human interaction with WordPress. He thrives on making users (and their sites) play nicely with developers (and their products), like an ambassador from one to the other. A graduate of the University of North Carolina and a lifelong Southerner, Ben lives in South Carolina and is a father of three and a husband of one very patient wife.

Ebonie Butler

Ebonie Butler

Ebonie, also known as ‘Metal & Coffee”, is a senior software engineer at Penske Media Corporation and the founder of the WordPress Women of Color community. She is also a Metal DJ, having been featured on various radio streaming platforms. Ebonie is eager to share her knowledge and help uplift underrepresented groups. She also does live streams on Twitch where she codes and works on various projects live while answering viewer questions about the code she is working on and what they can do to get into the tech industry.

Marieke van de Rakt

Marieke van de Rakt

Marieke is Head of Strategy of Yoast. She is also a writer, a Diet Coke addict, and a proud mother of 4. She enjoys good wine, reading, and ballet dancing. Before becoming Head of Strategy, Marieke was the CEO of Yoast. She is also the founder of Yoast Academy. Almost a lifetime ago, she worked as a researcher at different universities and obtained a Ph.D. in Criminology. As head of Strategy of Yoast, Marieke’s main focus is on making sure the company keeps growing in a healthy way.

Rich Tabor

Rich Tabor

As a WordPress entrepreneur, designer, and developer all wrapped up in one, Rich Tabor is recognized as one of the top leaders in this Gutenberg era of WordPress. His ever-precise design chops have topped the Automattic Design Awards and led him to co-found CoBlocks, ThemeBeans, and Iceberg – a markdown editor for Gutenberg. Now Rich leads the Extendify team as the Head of Product, extending the best of WordPress through innovative, Gutenberg-first solutions.

Ronald Gijsel

Ronald Gijsel

Ronald is a co-host at DotheWoo, the WooCommerce London Meetup, and co-organized various other Meetups and WordCamps. He has spoken at and hosted over 120 online and IRL sessions in the last 5 years since getting more involved in the WooCommerce and WordPress community. He loves sharing and talking to experts on new and innovative ways to support the mission of democratizing commerce.

Sajid Islam

Sajid Islam

Sajid has 20 years of experience in digital transformation, digital experience, and customer experience, working at some of the world-class brands such as HP, Autonomy, Interwoven. Sajid has expertise in building successful web & mobile marketing solutions by applying time-tested knowledge in Analytics, Landing Page Experience, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), and Copywriting.
