WordCamp Asia 2021: January Dates Cancellation

WordCamp Asia 2021 January Dates Cancellation

The most awaiting WordCamp of all time, WordCamp Asia has once again canceled its announced event dates. The reason, once again, is the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The previously announced January 2021 dates have been canceled until further notice. The organizers will announce a new date once the international travel situation gets better.

After the closing of Call for WCASIA Organizers, the organizing team held a meeting and discussed their plans. The domestic lockdown has somewhat eased with the drop of COVID-19 cases. However, since international flights are still banned, it is better to postpone the upcoming events until it’s absolutely safe to travel.

But don’t worry, the organizing team will most probably announce the new dates 6 months prior to WordCamp Asia.

This is the second time WCASIA has postponed its dates. But it is for the betterment of everyone around the globe. WordCamp Asia will happen and it will be the biggest WordPress conference as we all expect it to be. However, for now, let’s all stay safe and keep our WordPress community safe as well.
